Welcome
to my website. I'm Joe Shambro, a St. Louis-based music producer, audio
engineer (studio and live sound), and writer.
I started working professionally in the music business in 2001; since
then, I've worked as a touring live sound engineer, production consultant,
studio engineer & producer, and a touring musician.
I currently work as a freelance audio engineer. I produce, record, and
mix albums (both live and in the studio) for bands around the world. I'm
always open to new ideas and projects, and frequently network with other
producers, engineers, and musicians within the industry to stay on top
of, and come up with, new recording techniques.
You can check out some examples of my work in my digital
portfolio.
I'm also a writer for the New York Times Company, writing for their About.com
label to an audience of 30 million readers a month. You can find more
information about my work in my writing section.
I'm available for recording, mixing, and producing in the St. Louis, MO
area, but am willing to travel for any project. I'm also available for
live sound work, both tour and local.

I'm
always looking for new bands, solo artists, and songwriters to work with.
I offer full-service live and studio recording, mixing, and mastering
services at an affordable price with the highest quality. My goal is simple:
to put world-class production and engineering in the hands of any band
that needs it, multi-platinum or independent.
As
such, I take a very organic approach to what equipment I use. I believe
very strongly in the engineering aspect of a recording being a large part
of the overall picture, and I select equipment carefully to assure the
best quality possible. I also work hard to give your project it's own
unique sound signature to stand out among your
competition. Check out a sample of my available equipment on my gear
page.
I also specialize in live recording; sometimes the finest quality, highest
energy, and most budget-accommodating recording can be a live one. Check
out my digital portfolio, and feel free to
contact me with any questions.
Booking information is available on my contact
page.
